Shirley A. (Mycroft) Sturks 91, of Cranston, died peacefully in her sleep at home on March 4, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones. She was the wife of the late Arnold J. Sturks. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Catherine (Ryan) Mycroft. After marrying Arnold, she lived in Providence until 1971, when she moved to Cranston. She worked at Dieges and Clust which is now Herff Jones Corporation, for many years. Shirley was in charge of the repair department and knew more about high school and college rings than anyone else that worked there. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling to Assateague/Chincoteague Islands and spending time with her great grandchildren. Shirley was the mother of Joanne Ronci, Carol A. Lanigan, and Arnold J. Sturks. Grandmother to Lisa M. and Kathleen A. Lanigan. Great grandmother to Julia M. Martinka, Jameson Smith, Mason L. Gavin L., and Damon L. Raposa. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her older siblings, Arthur, Albert, Frederick, Samuel, George and James Mycroft, Mary Larsen, Catherine Carter, and Dorothy Sayer. Per her wishes, there were no funeral services.
