Virginia Louise Williams was 79 years old (just one week shy of her 80th birthday) when she passed away on January 21, 2022. She lived in Budlong Manor in Cranston and passed at the Cedar Crest Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Robert Williams and of the late Lee Portrais.
Born in Providence, on January 28, 1942 to Myrtle and Reginald Miller, Virginia lived in both Scituate and Cranston, Rhode Island most of her life. Virginia enjoyed Quahogging and going to concerts. It was a tradition for Nana and grandpa to bring the grandchildren pumpkin picking with the rule that they had to be able to carry their pumpkin themselves. It was always a fun day. Virginia graduated from Scituate High School in 1959. She worked as an office worker in a variety of companies. Virginia also participated in many activities at The Cranston Senior Center and enjoyed socializing with the people at Budlong Manor.
Virginia leaves a son, Eric Portrais and stepchildren Nancy (Williams) Stone and Robert Williams Jr. She was very proud of all her grandchildren: Luke and Kelley Portrais, JP, Patrick, and Alison Stone, Michael, Keith and Bob Williams.
