Walter John Aldridge Obituary
Walter John Aldridge died on June 8, 2024 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. He was 77 years old. Walter was a resident of Cape Coral, Florida. He was the former owner of MAACO Auto Painting for many years in Lansdale, Pennsylvania and in Waco, Texas. He was also the former Director of Operations for MAACO Auto Painting in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of Robert Aldridge Jr. and Edith (Haskins) Aldridge. He is survived by his wife Deborah Darleen Aldridge, daughter Michelle Aldridge Burton (John), granddaughter Reese Kathryn Burton, and brothers Robert Aldridge III (Maureen), John Richard Aldridge (Carole) and Donald Charles Aldridge (Gail). Walter was a Vietnam Veteran and he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. He was a Shriner and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of the Charity Lodge in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Walter spent his childhood summers with his family on Martha’s Vineyard. It held a special place in his heart, and he always loved his family trips there over the years. He was passionate about golf. You could find him on the course several times a week. He was proud of his 2 holes in one. Walter also loved cars, especially the many Corvettes he owned throughout his life. He graduated from the former Cranston High School in Cranston Rhode Island in 1965.
A Masonic Funeral Service will take place on Thursday June 20, 2024 at 11:00am in The Butterfield Chapel500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery 1 Rhode Island Avenue Johnston.
